This production by the English National Ballet—the first British staging of the work— features former ballerina-turned-choreographer Anna-Marie Holmes, who adapts Petipa’s version to create a lively and elegant performance, visually enhanced by the magnificent Orientalist sets and costumes by Hollywood designer Bob Ringwood.
