1983. The new French government announces the largest architectural competition. Coveted by the major firms, the winner was, surprisingly, a complete unknown: Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, a Danish professor of architecture who until then had only built his house and three small chapels. Suddenly, he finds himself at the head of a colossal project: the construction of the Arc de la Défense in Paris. “Spreck soon discovers that, in order to preserve his vision, he will have to play the political game.
